Koa Ridge will be located near Costco Waipio which sits roughly 20 minutes from Honolulu and Kapolei. In its maturity, we'll the neighborhood offer roughly 3,500 homes, over 7 miles of bike paths, a community center, schools, and an array of dining, retail, and grocery shopping venues. There's even rumors of a hotel! The developer has meticulously thought through this development with full intention to create a thriving urban community where residents can ditch the car, and walk or bike to work or their favorite restaurant.
Types of Homes
As previously mentioned, Koa Ridge aims to provide homes for every family dynamic including but not limited to:
- Single Family Homes
- Townhomes and/or Condos
- Multi-family homes
- Senior Living Residences near onsite healthcare facilities
- Affordable Housing Check out the FAQ's here.
Expect to see a variety of floor plans available. The developer, Castle and Cooke, isn't clear on whether homes will be offered via lottery on a first come first serve basis. We've seen them turn to both options in their previous Mililani Mauka projects.
Koa Ridge has been long awaited and for years, prospective buyers have had the wind taken out of their sales through delay after delay. As of right now, Castle Cool is estimating the sales launch for 2019 with first delivery of homes to begin in 2020. I'm optimistic, but encouraging my clients not to pull all their eggs in the "2019" basket because we've heard this before.
